It has been less than a year since CrestClean announced the creation of the Master Cleaners Training Institute and already, a great milestone on our journey has been reached.

On October 11 of this year, the number of franchisees that successfully completed the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc), Cleaning Professional Skills Suite Certificate passed the 100 mark.

It has been a great journey getting to this point and along the way CrestClean has expanded its business and welcomed some great franchisees.

If YOU are one of those hardworking CrestCleaners who have received the Cleaning Professional Skills Suite Certificate, then congratulations as YOU are one of only 100 people in the Southern Hemisphere to receive this certificate.
CrestClean and Master Cleaners have a range of different BICSc courses available to prepare people for a career in the cleaning industry.

Courses include: Health and Safety Standards which is a stand alone course that focuses on the safe use, care and storage of chemicals, cleaning equipment and materials.

Annual Up-skilling, an annual course for CrestClean franchisees to gain knowledge in the latest equipment, cleaning and hygiene techniques.

Hard Floor Care, this two day course includes training in buffing, scrubbing, burnishing, stain removal, stripping and polishing.

First Aid Awareness, this course is a half day introductory course for practical First Aid and emergency readiness.
The Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite (CPSS) qualification is essentially a “license to clean” and is becoming the most widely used cleaning qualification in the UK and internationally.

It involves the completion of 3 mandatory units in Health and Safety; Chemical Compentency, Equipment safe use and care and Storage of equipment and materials. The programme also covers a range of cleaning skills including, Suction Cleaning, Toilet and washroom cleaning, Wall washing, Kitchen sinks, Refrigerator cleaning and basic floor cleaning techniques.

Gaining this qualification increases individual skill base, staff morale and it raises the status of CrestClean and Master Cleaners in the cleaning industry.

It is testimony to the professionalism and commitment of the franchisees involved that we have reached this milestone.
This achievement once again underlines the commitment to “Raising the Standards and Status of the Cleaning industry in New Zealand” that CrestClean, Master Cleaners and The British Insitute of Cleaning Science share.

While CrestClean and Master Cleaners have come a very long way in a relatively short time in partnership with BICSc, it is still only the beginning of what is sure to be a challenging yet very rewarding journey.

Congratulations & well done to everybody involved.
