As Crest’s longest serving franchisees Garry and Sharon Neale have made a great contribution to Crest’s development in Christchurch.

Not only have they operated their own successful business for over 10 years, they’ve also been rock solid supporters of Crest, and have assisted in training and mentoring many new franchisees.

When he realised that it was time for a change, Garry spent 6 months looking around at various business options and franchises.  “I thought Crest stood out”, says Garry.  “I wanted to own my own business, and I can remember being impressed with the overall system, not just one thing.  We looked around, asked lots of questions, spoke to professionals and then once we decided on Crest I set the wheels in motion to leave the Army and commence with Crest.”

Initially Garry worked very hard on his business – he’s always had a great attitude to doing a job right – he worked over 70 hours a week doing all Crest’s carpet cleaning in Christchurch as well as running his own franchise.
Garry also used to do a lot of one-off-jobs, his Army background gave him good organisational skills so he could plan his time and resources well.

Garry’s wife Sharon has always been an integral part of their business.  In the early years Sharon helped hands-on while nowadays she focuses on he business administration for the Christchurch South master franchise.

The 10-year mark is a milestone for Garry and Sharon and Crest is very proud of their achievement.  Garry is still very focused and he has a new future for himself and Sharon with Crest – as regional managers for Christchurch South.  Garry and Sharon manage a team of motivated franchisees that service customers in the Southern side of Christchurch.

“It’s time to put my experience into practice on a management level,” says Garry, “and I’m pleased that we can have this career development through Crest”.
