Bill and Claire Douglas became Regional Managers for Rotorua in May 2007 – Crest management, who saw the potential of a couple already proving themselves in the business, approached them. Bill was Crest’s first franchisee in Rotorua – buying a franchise in August 2003. Working as a together as a couple with several big customers - including Rotorua Boys’ High and Rotorua’s Millennium Centre, they maintained a high standard of quality and a great rapport with clients.

Bill has now directed his attention to the Regional Manager role, meeting with clients and recruiting new franchisees. Bill’s got a team of over 24 franchisees, and he sees ample room for growth.

“We make sure our customers are happy with the service they receive,” says Bill. “My role is to ensure that we provide a consistent reliable service, and I keep our team motivated through personal contact and giving positive feedback”

Bill’s work ethics haven’t changed from when he first started delivering telegrams by pushbike for the Post Office years ago. “The work’s there, it’s about getting known and being honest with people,” according to Bill. “People will buy off people they like.”
