Dawn Couch
Although I was born and bred in the North Island, when I finished my education I moved to Dunedin and am now a true blue Dunedinite. On leaving school I worked for the National Bank for 8 years before travelling to the UK. When I returned to NZ some 19 months later I rejoined the National Bank, at their request, and I stayed there for a further 19 years. I then spent a few years working for a home lending company.
I joined the Crest Admin Services team in July 2006. However, my association with Crest began in 2001 when I was employed by Crest’s accountants, G S McLauchlan & Co. At that time I was responsible for processing transactions to the Crest debtor’s ledger - Invoices, Credit Notes and Payments Received. At the end of each month I was required to produce Invoices and Statements and mail them to the customers. When I first started working with the debtor’s ledger it had less than 400 customers. Three years later it had trebled to over 1200 customers. At that point Crest took the job in house and I joined Crest Admin Services.
Since moving to Crest, my job in Finance Services has expanded to include processing Contract Amendment Forms, inputting Franchisee bank statement transactions and a number of other data entry duties in addition to debtor’s ledger transactions. From time to time I am also called upon to proof-read documents relating to Crest prior to their publication, this is a skill I acquired during my employment with the National Bank.

I consider myself to be fortunate to be doing a job that I really enjoy and which provides me with job satisfaction and, on top of that, pays me for enjoying myself!! The people that make up the Admin Services team are great to work with because we share a first-class work ethic, commitment to Crest and a healthy sense of humour - a vital asset when things get a bit stressful!!!
