1. Crest Commercial Cleaning Limited Responsibilities 1.1 Crest Commercial Cleaning Limited hereinafter referred to as the Franchisor is committed to the protection of all employees, property and other people from accidental injury or damage from work carried out by, and on behalf of the Company. One of the Company’s aims is that Franchisees must ensure health, safety and welfare at all times on the cleaning site environment (hereinafter referred to as the site(s)).

1.2 Franchisor will provide Franchisees with a list of known hazards on the site(s), if any and where known.

1.3 Franchisor will prohibit the work of any Franchisees not complying with their Health and Safety obligations.

2. Franchisee Responsibilities

2.1 Self-employed people who are Franchisees shall take all practicable steps to ensure that no action or inaction by themselves while at work will harm themselves or any other person (as defined by Section 17 of the Health and Safety Act).

2.2 Franchisees will provide the Franchisor with information on Health and Safety systems they have in place.

2.3 Franchisees will provide the Franchisors with information on known hazards, that could be a source of harm to other people on site(s). Franchisees will ensure that site(s) have the required Health and Safety signage as per legislative requirements, where necessary.

2.4 Franchisees will ensure their employees are provided with information on hazards to which they may be exposed or they may create.

2.5 Franchisees will ensure their employees are trained or supervised by a person who has experience or knowledge of the work being performed and is adequately trained in the safe use of all plant, objects, substances, protective clothing and equipment which they are required to use or handle.

2.6 Accident and Emergency Procedures – Franchisees will notify the Franchisor of all serious harm accidents that occur on site(s) and of any incidents that have the potential to cause serious harm. They will also secure the scene of any serious harm accident and advise OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) immediately of its occurrence and within 7 days of this occurrence, they shall provide written notice to OSH in the prescribed form.

2.7 Franchisees (with employees) will maintain a register of accidents and serious harm incidents as required by law.

2.8 Franchisees (where applicable) will ensure they are supplied with (by the Site Manager) a site layout plan showing emergency equipment, names of key personnel and an Emergency Evacuation procedure.
