CrestClean received top marks for their eighth year attending the New Zealand Principals’ Federation Conference in Wellington from June 30 to July 3.

NZPF Gold Business Partner CrestClean was one of 70 exhibitors who received a very positive response from principals attending.

One of the hot discussion topics was the new Health and Safety Reform Bill. CrestClean sponsored a presentation from industry expert Andrew Swensen, who explained what the new bill meant for schools. “Principals need to take the new laws very seriously,” commented Andrew, “and take advice to make sure your school becomes compliant.”

Schools that develop robust Health and Safety protocols will receive better service from contractors who will have the ability to meet the standards.

“Achieving good Health and Safety requires training and upskilling”, says Andrew, “and the better firms can invest in better equipment and training to make sure they carry out their work safely at your premises.”

On hand to man the booth were Dellece McFarlane, Crest’s Customer Services Manager, South and East Auckland Regional Manager Viky Narayan, Wellington Regional Manager Richard Brodie and Hutt Valley/Wairarapa Regional Manager Claire Menzies.

There were 250 green bags filled with CrestClean samples and information that were given out, and those who attended were invited to guess how many rugby balls were inside a specially built clear plinth. The correct guesses, of 27 balls, were entered into a draw to win the balls and a new 32” Panasonic TV, the winner of which was a lucky local – John Chanaer, of Fraser Crescent School in Upper Hutt.

Wellington Regional Manager Richard Brodie said the conference was very successful for Crest.

“The principals gave us really good marks! We are proud to be an NZPF Gold Business Partner. The entry form box for the TV and rugby balls was overflowing with entries. They enjoyed trying to guess how many balls were inside the plinth,” he says.

Looking at education through a variety of lenses was this year’s conference theme embraced by international and nationally recognised speakers.

Richard says as a result of attending the conference, which is always a fantastic investment and branding exercise for Crest, regional managers will be kept busy with quote requests over the coming weeks.

“We were inundated with quote requests. I have received at least 10 for Wellington. It was a great event to attend,” he says. “Everyone is looking forward to the Trans-Tasman Principals’ Conference that will be held in Auckland next year.”
